The Board of Directors of the AEO Association, representing businesses in CEFTA economies regarding the regional Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) agenda, has elected a new President, Mr. Genc Celi, Trade and Customs Expert, to represent the AEO Association for the next two years. He will replace Tijana Stefanovic from RED SPED who led the AEO Association from its incumbent and has been instrumental in steering the organization towards its goals.

The Board of Directors include Goran Cerovina, NELT Bosnia And Herzegovina, Olgica Nakova, Translog Express, Dragana Stajovic, Neregelia, Betim Kryeziu, Golden Eagle and Jovan Mutavdžić, 2B Logistics together with newly appointed President Genc Celi.

In the previous period the Board of Directors deliberated on key matters such as the Association’s sustainability plan and further development of the organization, particularly regarding the recruitment process for the AEO Association’s Manager.

During the meetings held since their election in March, the Board of Directors reaffirmed the AEO Association’s steadfast commitment to fostering collaboration and progress in the CEFTA economies. Emphasizing an environment conducive to the growth and development of AEO programmes, the Board outlined its strategic vision for the upcoming term.

Established in October 2021 by economic operators within CEFTA economies, the AEO Association has emerged as a leading force in catalyzing discussions and initiatives aimed at advancing AEO programmes regionally.

The AEO Association was founded with the support of the “Support to Regional Economic Integration” project, implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) on behalf of the European Commission and the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). Dedicated to advancing Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) Programmes within CEFTA economies, the AEO Association collaborates with stakeholders to promote trade facilitation, ensure compliance, and enhance the competitiveness of AEO businesses.
