The AEO Association Members Elected Board of Directors

The AEO Association, representing businesses in the CEFTA economies regarding the regional Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) agenda, elected Board of Directors on its inaugural quarterly meeting of 2024. Established in October 2021 by economic operators within CEFTA economies, the AEO Association has played a pivotal role in catalysing discussions and initiatives aimed at propelling AEO programmes regionally.

A key focus of the meeting was the election of the AEO Association’s Board of Directors. The newly elected members include Genc Celi, business consultant; Goran Cerovina, NELT Bosnia And Herzegovina; Olgica Nakova, Translog Express; Dragana Stajovic, Neregelia; Betim Kryeziu, Golden Eagle; and Jovan Mutavdžić, 2B Logistics. Furthermore, the election of the AEO Association President is scheduled for the upcoming month, to be chosen by the Board of Directors, who will serve as the Association’s representative in the years ahead.

This quarterly meeting is a significant milestone for the Association as the AEO Association Secretariat gathered to deliberate on pivotal matters concerning the advancement of AEO programmes. Throughout the session, members assessed the progress made in 2023 towards enhancing AEO programmes in the region, undertaking a comprehensive review and subsequent approval of the priority work plan for 2024.

Concluding the proceedings, members deliberated on the subsequent steps for the Board of Directors and the election of President, emphasizing the ongoing commitment of the AEO Association to foster collaboration and progress in the CEFTA economies, nurturing an environment conducive to the growth and development of AEO programmes.

The AEO Association was founded in 2021 with support of the “Support to Regional Economic Integration” project, implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) on behalf of the European Commission and the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). Dedicated to advancing Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) Programmes within CEFTA economies, the AEO Association collaborates with stakeholders to promote trade facilitation, ensure compliance, and boost the competitiveness of AEO businesses.
