On January 27, the Western Balkans Authorized Economic Operators (AEO) Association organized its annual planning workshop aiming to contribute in developing structured public-private dialogue in the Western Balkan region
The Western Balkans Authorized Economic Operators (AEO) Association organized annual planning workshop to define its priorities in the field of public – private dialogue for 2026. The moderation and organization of the workshop was supported by the RegioTrade/ EU4Trade project commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, co-funded by the European Union.
The meeting outcomes are tangible, achievable goals aiming to support companies who are members of the association in their effort to extensively access the benefits arising from the status of Authorized Economic Operator.
Challenges exist and also opportunities for addressing these challenges by developing partnerships with customs authorities and border agencies. In this sense, AEO Association envisages to accelerate meetings with customs authorities on national level, liaise with CEFTA working group on AEO and organize annual working meetings with customs authorities from Western Balkan region.
The planning process results in an Action Plan on Public – Private Dialogue for 2026, adopted by the Board Members.
Stay tuned for information on outcomes of the action plan and its implementation which ultimately would accelerates the access to the benefits deriving from AEO status as such improving trade in the Western Balkan region.
